Difficult verses

There are always going to be poor and needy people among you. So I command you: Always be generous, open purse and hands, give to your neighbors in trouble, your poor and hurting neighbors. Deuteronomy 15:11 MSG
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 1 John 2:15
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Phil 1:27

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  Phil 4:8-9
